Hayhurst’s outside exploration
With the weather turning cold fast, the students at Hayhurst
elementary have been trying to enjoy the good weather as long as possible.
During the past few
weeks they have been using their outside time for bug exploration. Due to the changing of the seasons there
have been large amounts of lady bugs to be found on the plants. Students are learning to gently handle nature
and leave it the way they found it.
They are also stretching their bodies with outdoor play. Students are able to play outside and release
stress which helps create great social interaction skills.
Don’t forget to get outside and enjoy the crisp fall air before winter and rain take over. If you have a favorite late summer activity to do outside post them below! We love to hear about the wonderful things you do as a family.
