Carnival Parent Night at Woodstock Elementary!

As you've seen in our blog (or possibly from personal experience!), VHFLC parent nights can take a wide variety of forms. Sometimes staff orchestrate appearances from outside companies (like apple tasting with New Seasons or reptile visits with a local specialist), and other times they don a hat made of balloons and take matters into their own hands! Recently at Woodstock elementary, staff and students decided to plan a carnival-themed afternoon, with teachers Jill and Annie painting faces and Matt (pictured below) making balloon creations. Take a peek to see some of the fun we had that day!

Matt dazzles with dogs, swords, and the like

Teachers Jill (foreground) and Annie (background) turn students into a collection of cats, cowboys, and any number of unique magical creatures!

Lewis was very pleased to show teacher Zenna his beautiful rainbow forehead.

Sterling all of a sudden finds himself acting with a distinct air of sophistication while Zafer brainstorms his face paint of choice.

Sydney is very serious about her human-cat transformation and George can hardly contain his excitement at being next in line...

Noah will hypnotize you with his face!

Walter poses with his newest pet

Unique and creative carnival games galore

En garde! Liam is super happy to snag some quality pirate time with dad, Noah.

Julien, the basketball champ!

Just about any space can be converted with the proper materials and a healthy dose of imagination

If were able to make it out to one of our recent parent nights, write us and let us know what you thought! Staff are always looking for clever ideas to facilitate a great evening of fun and bonding with families. 'Till next time!
