VHFLC Scribble Stories

Siriana and Ellie with their creation

Do you remember being a child and feeling like a crayon was a portal to another land? That all you needed was your all-powerful imagination to transform and edit the world as you saw fit? Well, this week we had the special privilege of taking a peek into some such lands, where the standard rules of reality have no application. These are places where cyclops birds spend their days feasting on worm lollipops, where butterfly wings house tropical forests, and where rockets are launched into space only to be trapped in galactic spider webs. Read on, but be warned! As you take the plunge into our Scribble Stories, you'll soon be leaving everything you know behind...

"Green Eye Cry Girl"
Green Eye Cry Girl (pictured above) is sad because her true love chose Green Dress Girl instead of her. Green Dress Girl doesn't know about how sad Green Eye Cry Girl is, because she's looking the other direction. However, there are rainbows close by, so Green Eye Cry Girl knows that one day she is destined to find her REAL true love.

"The Moon Man"

The Moon Man is a product of the combined imaginations of Taylor, Ainsley (pictured below) and several other Bridlemile creatives. According to his makers, he lives quietly above the orange and purple dragon bird, keeping watch over the land with his beady skittle eyes. Though some may be fooled into thinking that his hair is made of orange sherbet, this is actually whipped cheese. His cape, which is made of ground beef, allows him to hover comfortably in place, while his ice cream cone shoes ensure that his feet "always have a soft and cozy place to be." Another moon or planet might find him to be an attractive partner, but the Moon Man is not as cute as he appears... With "a stinky shirt made of swiss cheese", "a twisty mouth of licorice", and flowing orange and black armpit hair, keeping others around is an ongoing struggle. Such is the sad plight of the Moon Man.

"The Zombie Butterfly and Evil Bow Tie"

The Zombie Butterfly, made by Cole, and the Evil Bow Tie, made by Nate, are a dangerous pair. Once a "regular butterfly", Zombie Butterfly transformed when bitten by Cole, who is himself a zombie. Like Cole, he lures his victims in with his cute and innocent exterior. It is only when his victims are within direct biting distance, that Zombie Butterfly pounces, trapping them with his green and blue poison-covered wings.

Evil Bow Tie, also once a regular bow tie, "used to live happily on a guy's shirt." According to Nate, "one day an evil eyebrow bit the bow tie, which made him turn weird and evil too." Evil Bow Tie then decided to leave the comfort of his shirt home to begin a new evil life of biting people. Those who were simply in pursuit of a new fashionable look were to meet a twisted and untimely demise...

"Cyclops Bird"

You might think that Audrey's Cyclops Bird has lovely rainbow hair, but this is just the wing of Tropical Island Butterfly (as its maker, Alannah will have you know). Cyclops Bird is a big, brawny fellow, who catches worms with such ease that he is able to spend the majority of his time crafting and indulging in worm lollipops – quite the life of luxury for a bird. In fact, he is such an advanced species, that he need only one eyeball to do this work. With his eyeball, he places worms on lollipops with such incredible precision that all the other creatures in this land look on with awe.

"Tropical Island Butterfly"

Unlike Zombie Butterfly, Tropical Island Butterfly is a peaceful creature. She's so peaceful in fact, that her wings contain a pathway to a tropical island oasis (complete with coconuts). Alannah specified that Tropical Island Butterfly never bites anyone, even Cyclops Bird who likes to walk where she flies.

"Little Dragon and the Rockets"

Unbeknownst to Tropical Island Butterfly and some of the larger creatures that live here, there are a plethora of tiny things trying to make a home in this chaotic world. Take for example, Little Dragon, created by Oliver (above right), who is so small that the giant Pig Bear has no clue he is Little Dragon's landing base. Among the other pint-sized creatures in flight, there are rockets (created by Shane, above left, and Kian, below)...

Paper Table Cloth world is rife with hazards for those who aren't keeping careful watch. The tiny folks operating Kian's craft (below) are in for a particularly unpleasant surprise, as they believe they are headed toward the land of rainbows (but are actually doomed to a stuck in the galactic spider web).
