The 3 B's of Capitol Hills first week of Summer!

We are starting the summer at Capitol Hill off with tons of fun in the sun.  This week we will focus on the B’s of fun: Birdhouses, Bubbles and Bowling.

On Monday they wasted no time and jumped right into the creative and technical aspect of building birdhouses.  From the popsicle stick roofs to the finely detailed and painted sides, these houses were beautiful!

On Wednesday they took science to new and exciting heights with bubble experiments.  They tested the durability of bubbles against sand paper, a hair brush, their own hands and the table.  Two different recipes were also used to see which produced the more superior bubble.  Enjoying the sunny weather and learning made for a great combination.

Thursday marked the first field trip for the summer, and bowling did not disappoint.   For some this was the first time they had ever bowled, while others were veterans.  Many campers took the time to help others who were just learning for the first time.  Counselors bowled right along with the campers and got to have some fun as well.

Thank you for joining us here for this brief recap of the first week.  We hope to share a lot more with you this summer.
